Volunteer with Hawkinge Community Fridge
We are always happy to welcome new volunteers!
You don't need any special skills — just a food hygiene certificate level2 - which we will pay for you to train for, a friendly attitude and a willingness to help.
Tasks include:

Collecting surplus food from local retailers

Sorting and setting up food on Sunday mornings

Welcoming visitors at the fridge and assisting them

Helping pack away, clean and tidy up
You can volunteer as little or as often as suits you.

Your usual hours, when
scheduled, will be from 10am to 2pm. You do not have set working hours,
nor do you have minimum volunteer time. However, to maximise the benefits
for you and us, we hope that you can volunteer for at least 4 hours a week
with us, every couple of weeks or more frequently if it works for you.
